I always tell my family and friends....I wish I was as good of a human as my dogs are...especially my 16 year old Freckles (the one on the right). They laugh and tell me my dogs aren't human, but I know that we can still learn from them how to be better people. And now even scientists say we should take a note from the dogs playbook to be kinder. For instance, Always be happy to see the person you love....dogs go crazy when you come home, they're so happy. I'm not saying you should jump on your spouse, but be genuinely happy to see them when they get home...it will energize you for the rest of the evening; Show affection...we both know that no creature knows how to show affection better than a dog...wagging that tail, licking you, sitting with you....show that affection to the people you love, although you might want to stay away from the licking part; Support your partners hopes and dreams....think about it...your dog thinks everything you do is just the coolest thing in the world. Support your loved ones like that, you'll feel good and it will mean the world to them. So now you see what I mean. There's a lot we can learn from our dogs...and when I grow up I want to be just like Freckles and Leo!!
