Today's social dilemma came from a friend of mine. We were all out for our Sunday morning coffee and in the midst of the conversation, my friend Jackie was telling us how she and her husband got into a big fight the night before. She said it was so big, that he ended up sleeping on the couch. I laughed a little bit because I didn't think people still did that. Send their sweetie or spouse to the couch after an argument. Jackie said she didn't want to sleep in the same bed with him because she was so angry so off to the couch he went. It seemed like a 60's sitcom to me. She said it happens from time to time in their house. I said the only time I've ever slept on the couch was when I had shoulder surgery and I had to sleep sitting up and it was easy to do that on the couch than in bed. So we did our own little poll at the table. There were seven of us. Out of the seven, three including Jackie had either slept on the couch or had their spouse's sleep on the couch after a big fight. I said that would never happen with us. Even if we have a big fight, we don't feel the need to sleep on the couch. So Jackie asked me to ask you, and here I am.
