We are so lucky to live in the Capital Region for so many reasons. This time of year, one of the reasons is strawberry picking!! Tis the season! Actually the season is a bit late this year because of all the rain we had, but now is the time to head to your favorite local farm and pick some delicious strawberries. I always head over to Kristy's Farm in Schodack because I live in East Greenbush and it's close to home. They had lots of juicy ripe strawberries ready to be picked. My nieces and I had a great time grabbing some. But there are many orchards here in the area where you can do it like Bowman Orchards, Indian Ladder Farms, Altamont Farms and more! So find out what place is best for you, and then head out this weekend and grab some great strawberries while the picking is good. The season ends after the first week of July so now is the time to go! i guarantee you'll have a wonderful time with your family and friends! Enjoy!!
