Can Dolly Parton Reunite Led Zeppelin??

We all know that Dolly Parton has done amazing things in her life and in her career. But can she make Rock and Roll magic happen? While Robert Plant constantly says he has no desire to reunite Led Zeppelin, Dolly is hoping to change that. After being chosen for inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly said she was going to record a rock record in the future, and now she’s discussing her plans to do so. “When I got nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I thought, ‘Well, no better time to do it.’ I had always wanted to do it,” she tells Pollstar. “My husband is a big hard rock ’n’ roll fan, and for years I thought, ‘One of these days I’d like to do an album mainly just for him, just to kind of do it.’”  And as part of that record she’s hoping to reunite Robert Plant and Jimmy Page for a new recording of “Stairway to Heaven.” Dolly previously recorded a bluegrass-style version, for her 2002 album “Halos & Horns,” but her husband “did not like it,” so she now wants to do a faithful rock version. “I’m trying to see if Robert Plant might sing on it. Maybe Jimmy Page might do the pick-up part on it,” she says. “I’m looking forward to dragging in some of the great classic people, girls and boys, to sing on some of the songs. I’m not far enough along to discuss who and what, but I am going to do an album.” Wow, I hope this happens!
