Social Dilemma: Is It Okay for A 49 Y.O. Woman to Date a 26 Y.O Man?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Emma and it's about dating someone younger. Here's her email: Hi Jaime. I have a dating question and I'm getting opposing opinions from friends so I'm curious how your listeners feel. I am 49 years old, been divorced for about four years and have been dating on and off. I recently met a man that works in my building (not in my office) that I really like. We get along great and have even had lunch together. I really want to date him, but here's the issue. He's only 26 years old. I know that's a lot younger than me, but we really click and I really like him. He seems to like me too. Some friends are telling me to stay away, he's too young, while others are telling me to go for it. Is it weird that I would want to date someone so much younger than me? Should I not worry about our age difference and just go for it? Looking forward to good advice. Thanks ~ Emma. Who am I to judge who should date who? I think if they like each other, go for it. Older men date younger women all the time. If Emma and this man like each other, give it a try and see where it goes. That's all that really matters, not what other people think.
