S Dilemma: Do I Have to Hand Out Full Size Candy Bars Because Neighbors Are

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Lenny and it's about Halloween. Here's his email: Hi Jaime. My family moved into a new neighborhood a couple of years ago and we love it. Every Halloween we get lots of kids trick or treating and it's great. But recently our kids told us they were being made fun of a little bit because we always hand out the little candy bars, while most of our neighbors hand out full size bars. Our neighbors are pretty well-to-do and it's great they they do that, but we get same multi-pack of candy from Sam's Club that we’ve always bought to hand out this year, but now I’m second guessing our choice and wonder if our kids are going to face criticism again from other kids in the neighborhood because we went cheap on our candy. Should I upgrade our candy offerings or not worry about what the neighbors think? Thanks for the help ~ Lenny. I think Lenny should stick with whatever he and his family usually do. I always buy those big bags of candy, but I admit I always give out at least two to each kid. It's still cheaper than buying full size bars. I think full size is great if you can afford it, but there's no shame in the big candy pack from Sam's or Target or any other department store. That's my take anyway. What do you think? Let's help Lenny out and let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
