Okay, yesterday I finally got a chance to watch the post-Superbowl episode of "This is Us." Let me start by saying.....even though I knew that Jack was about to die in the show, as we all did, I was crushed. Truly crushed. I cried all through the show...from start to finish. I don't know if that makes me a sap, but I couldn't help myself. Maybe it's because I lost my own father quite suddenly and it brought all that back to me, but one way or another, I was sobbing in my living room. Overwhelmed. Learning that Jack passed not in the fire, but due to a heart attack after he had escaped the fire, saving the dog and the photo albums and Kate's precious videotape was worse that I thought it would be. That horrible feeling of believing everything is going to be okay only to have life (or death) knock you back. I thought the writing, the acting, everything about the show rang 100% true. I even loved the flash forward to Randall's daughter, Tess as a social worker helping foster kids get placed. Perfect! So now it's time to ask you. What did you think of the show? Did it affect you? Were you happy with the way it all played out? And to find out what Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore thought about the ending, click here and here. And let me know what you thought on the 98-3 TRY facebook page.
