Today's Social dilemma came about because of something that happened to me last weekend. I wasn't going to bring it up but a friend of mine who was with me last weekend talked me into it, so here goes. Last weekend, me and a bunch of friends went out to dinner. It wasn't a fancy restaurant, but it wasn't a chain restaurant either. It was a nice neighborhood place. Anyway, we're eating and I found a hair in my chicken dish. I was about a third of the way through my meal, and suddenly everyone had an opinion about whether or not I should send my food back. Now as someone who worked in a restaurant when I was going to school, I'm not a big fan of sending stuff back. I mean if it's something really horrible, like food that's undercooked or something like that, then yes, send it back by all means. But I didn't know if this was my hair in the food, or someone in the kitchen or the waitress, so I didn't say anything. Well, some of my friends were appalled. Two of them wanted to get up and leave then (I thought that was a big overreaction), others thought I should have sent it back and I thought I'll just leave it alone, and that will be that. Things happen. It's just a hair. So I ended up doing nothing. Two friends said they would never eat there again, and others said I should have sent it back, but they would still come back and eat there again. So, what would you have done in that situation? Send it back, just deal with it like I did, or decide to never eat there again. Let me know what you think at the 98-3 TRY Facebook page.
