Is American Idol Trying To Be "The Voice?"

ABC’s “American Idol” reboot is pulling out all the stops to try and get people to watch.   And to me it feels like it's trying to be a little bit like The Voice.  According to "Variety," the show plans to do that with some big name stars, and we’re not talking about judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.  The trade says the show has signed on a bunch of musicians to duet wit the Top 24 finalists. Artists already confirmed for the show include Luis Fonsi, Bebe Rexha, Cam, Toni Braxton, Train’s Pat Monahan, Andy Grammer, Lea Michele and soul singer Allen Stone.   The plan is to have 12 stars in total, with each one singing duets with two contestants.   Isn't this kind of like how the judges on The Voice sometimes duet with the contestants   The new season of "American Idol" premieres March 11th on ABC.     Oh and one more thing, you can already tell the “American Idol” judges love kidding around with each other. Case in point, Luke recently shared a picture of him and Katy dressed up as Lionel.   Hmmm, also seems like how Blake and Adam kid around with each other.  You decide and tell me what you think at the 98-3 TRY Facebook page
