Social Dilemma - Would You Clone Your Pet If You Had the Money?

Today's social dilemma came Stephanie.  I'm sure she's having this discussion because of the news story that came out out about Barbra Streisand.  Apparently, she admitted that she has two clones of her dog who passed away.  Yesterday, I got an email from Stephanie who said she's having a big fight with her husband.  She really wants to put aside money so that when the time comes, they can clone their dog Chipper.  He is totally against it and he thinks it's super creepy.   After I got the email I had the conversation with my coworkers in the lunch room.   I was surprised by how many of them said they would clone their pet if they could.   They said they loved their dogs (or cats) so much that if they could have them forever somehow, they would.  I could never do it.  You know how much I love animals, and especially my dog Leo and my cat Jackson, but my friend Suzanne told me a while back that the reasons our pets don't live as long as we do is so that we can love many of them in our lifetime, and I liked that thought.  Plus I can't lie, I think cloning is a little too futuristic for me.   So what do you think Stephanie should do. Should she start saving money, or is her husband right and is cloning a little creepy.  By the way, after doing some research I found out the company that does it has recently cut their prices.  It costs 50K for a dog, and 25K for a cat.  So what do you think?  Are you with Stephanie or her husband?  Please let me know at the 98-3 TRY Facebook Page.   Oh and if you want to find out more about cloning, here's the link to the company.
