Today's social dilemma came from a friend of mine. She saw something happen in a store in the Mall and she wasn't quite sure what to do. She was shopping around the makeup counter at one of the stores (I won't mention which one), and she saw someone shoplift some lipstick. At first she second guessed herself and wasn't sure she saw what she thought she saw and then the woman also took some coverup makeup and then my friend knew what was happening. Now the woman looked at her and she knew she had been caught, gave her a stare and walked away. My friend didn't know if she should tell someone or just leave it alone hoping the store security would be doing their job. Ultimately she didn't say anything and she doesn't know if the woman got caught. She also said she was afraid because the woman looked right at her with what she called a threatening stare. But now she feels guilty about it. So we talked it over and I said I t'm pretty sure I would have told someone about it. I don't want to be a tattletale, but stealing is stealing even if it's just lipstick. And it's not right. So what would you do in that situation?
