Happy Galentine's Day!! Today is the day to get together with your best girlfriends and celebrate your friendship!! Galentine's Day actually first came about when the TV show Parks & Recreation was on. The main character Leslie Knope (played by Amy Poehler) made up Galentine's Day as the day before Valentines Day to honor her gal pals. Well, it actually caught on and now people all over celebrate Galentine's Day on the Day before Valentines day. I think the way the character of Leslie describes the day is best: “Every February 13, my ladyfriends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” I love it! I'll be celebrating with my buddies today. What about you? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page!
