How To Protect Yourself from Getting Sick; Some Simple Solutions

GWYNETH PALTROW and KATE HUDSON shared photos of themselves this week traveling with FACE MASKS . . . presumably to protect themselves from the coronavirus. But do they work? Not really. There are some upscale masks called "Airinum" mask, but these things start at 70 bucks, but they're currently sold out, because we've gone straight up insane. I did my own research yesterday around the Capital Region. I checked seven different stores of different types....department stores, paint stores, home improvement stores and more. Every one of the stores I stopped at were sold out of face masks. But here's the thing, medical experts say there's really no evidence these masks will protect you from the coronavirus, and they really don't recommend them. They're actually better for preventing people who already ARE sick from transmitting germs. The CDC says, quote, "The best things you can do are the things that we generally recommend at this time of year to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.Wash your hands, cover your cough, take care of yourself." So follow the simple rules we all know. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer; sneeze into your elbow, then blow your nose and throw away the tissue immediately; keep your distance from people who are sick; and if YOU'RE sick, stay home and take care of yourself!!! Don't let the media throw you into a panic. Let me know if you've bought masks or gloves on the TRY Facebook page.
