Lots of Stores Are Closing on Thanksgiving Day

It was just last week that we found out that Walmart was closing all of it's stores on Thanksgiving Day for the first time in a long while. No more early Black Friday sales. The store will be dark on Thanksgiving. And now other stores are following suit. Over the weekend we heard that Target would be doing the same thing. No Thanksgiving Day sales. And just today, Best Buy added their name to the list of stores that will not open on Thanksgiving night. Other stores on that same list include Barnes & Noble, BJ's, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Marshalls, Petco, Petsmart, Sam's Club, Staples, True Value Hardware and TJ Maxx. As of right now, I think we'll be hard pressed to find a store open other than gas stations and convenient stores. All of this is great, but I still wonder if one store will buck the trend in hopes of getting the shoppers in the door. We'll have to wait and see
