Social Dilemma: I Don't Want My Husband to Have a Female Doctor

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Megan and it's about doctors. Here's the email: Hi Jaime. I'm having an issue with my husband and I'm hoping you can help. My husband's doctor is retiring and so he is going to get a new one. I expressed that I would like him to have another male doctor since I don't want a woman looking at and touching his body. I understand it's her professional job but it still makes me uncomfortable. His response was I'm going to get the best doctor I can find, male or female. Am I asking too much of him, or shouldn't he respect my feelings on this. Thanks for the help ~ Megan. I think Megan is asking too much. Doctors are professionals. I've had both male and female doctors and do not have a preference. I'm sorry Megan feels the way she does, but I would hope she would want the best doctor no matter what their gender.
