Social Dilemma: How Do I Get My Neighbor To Throw Out His Rotting Pumpkins?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Todd and it's about his neighbor's Halloween display. Here's the email: Hi Jaime Every year, my neighbor makes what I have to admit is a pretty impressive display with pumpkins for Halloween. But the last two years he’s left them out until they were just piles of mush all over his yard, smelling and attracting flies and rodents including skunks and possoms. I appreciate the display before it turns into a science experiment, but wish he’d clean them up now that Halloween is over and they're going to start to rot. Should I say something to him before it gets really bad or just take the bad with the good and mind my own business? Thanks for the help ~ Todd. If I were Todd, I would just go talk to his neighbor and offer to take the pumpkins away. Throw them all in a box and then bring them to a field where you know deer are. They love to eat the pumpkins. I think that's how I would handle it. That way it sounds like you're doing something nice and taking care of the problem at the same time. What about you? Let me know your take on the TRY Facebook page.
