Barry Manilow is postponing his Las Vegas residency to focus on healing after having surgery amid his lung cancer diagnosis.
On Wednesday (February 4), the "Mandy" singer, 82, took to Instagram to share an update on his health, almost two months after he first revealed his health battle.
"I'm doing great and recovering very well after my surgery," he said. "I've been getting exercise and spending time in the studio, which has been fantastic."
However, his doctor has advised him to continue resting and healing to prepare for his tour, and as such, Manilow shared that he was postponing the February dates of his residency at Westgate Las Vegas. He added that tickets for the postponed residency dates will be refunded.
"With my doctor's guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that's kicking off at the end of February," he said. "Having a few extra weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!"
The "Copacabana" musician announced in December 2025 that doctors had found a cancerous spot on his lung during testing after a resurgence of bronchitis and that he required surgery to have it removed.
"It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That's the good news," he said, adding that the "bad news" was he had to postpone some of his arena shows amid his recovery.
