Stewart's Shops and The Egg Performing Arts Center in Albany have joined forces to create a special ice cream flavor celebrating their upstate New York heritage.
The new limited-edition flavor, "Mint Cookie EGGcellence," features mint ice cream with chocolate cookie pieces. This sweet collaboration will be available at Stewart's Shops across eight counties including Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schoharie, Greene, Columbia, and Ulster until April 5.
Ice cream enthusiasts can sample the new flavor at The Egg's annual free open house event on Saturday, March 14, following Albany's St. Patrick's Day parade. This marks a special occasion as it will be the first open house since The Egg reopened after extensive renovations last summer.
The mint-themed treat aligns perfectly with Stewart's other St. Patrick's Day offerings. On March 17, the convenience store chain will offer single-scoop ice cream cones or dishes for just 99 cents plus tax all day long. Customers can choose from over 20 flavors at the cone counter, including the festive green options like Mint Chip.
Stewart's Shops takes pride in making their own ice cream using what they call "the Best Milk in New York State," a designation earned at the state fair. For those looking for other St. Patrick's Day treats, Stewart's also offers limited-edition Irish Cream Coffee and a mint-flavored "Shenanigan Shake Refresher" produced at their plant in Greenfield, New York.
