Yesterday we got the sad news that Jerry Lewis passed away at the age of 91. The man was a comedic genius but so much more than that. He was an accomplished director and actor. He more than held his own in his comedy partnership with Dean Martin, so much so that Dean became jealous of Jerry's popularity and the two split up the act. But ultimately, maybe Jerry's legacy will have more to do with something far more serious....raising money for those afflicted with muscular dystrophy. Jerry hosted the telethon year after year after year. Many Hollywood superstars would perform at Jerry's request and because of it not millions, but billions of dollars were raised. Rest in Peace Jerry....we'll miss you!
