This is a social dilemma conversation I have with people EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR! I am a firm believer in the low and slow way of cooking the turkey. My mom used to put the bird in the oven around 2am, and cook it all night long, slowly and on a low temperature. We would wake up to the smell of turkey in the house and it was the greatest thing ever. So that is how I cook my bird now. Low and slow. It comes out juicy and tender and is the best. Of course I have friends who think that this dries the bird out and the only way to go is to cook it quickly and on a higher heat. I think that dries it out, and again, I have this discussion every year. So this year, I ask you. How do you cook your bird. Low and slow all night long, or high and fast during the day? I'm curious to see if others do it my way, or I guess I should say my mom's way. And now I can't wait for Thursday....I can almost smell the bird already!!!
