Social Dilemma - Is It Okay to Decorate for Christmas Before December?

Today's social dilemma came about because a friend was mocking me for putting up my tree this weekend.  She said it was much to early.  Now I have an artificial tree, and I love being able to enjoy it for as long as I can.  So of course the weekend of Thanksgiving is when we put it up.  Now I grant you that Thanksgiving was early this year, but still, I love having it up!  I even went outside and put up the decorations out there.  And I wasn't the only one in the neighborhood.  I saw that other people had not only put up their trees, but their outside lights as well.  Now I know that it was a little earlier than usual, but so what.  It's the holiday season!  I say bring it on!  Put those trees up, and get those lights on the house.  So do you agree with me, or do you agree with my friend?  Is it too early to put up your Christmas tree?  Let me know what you think.
