Social Dilemma - Is It Okay to Bring "Slice N' Bake" Cookies To A Party?

Was having this conversation yesterday with some folks here in the office.  A lot of us are invited to different holiday parties throughout the season, and I find that more and more of them ask that you bring something.  I'm totally cool with that.  I know it's not easy having a gathering at your house.   I like to bring cookies, but life has been crazy busy lately, so instead of making my Italian genet cookies that I usually make, I've been getting Pillsbury Slice N Bake cookies.  Boy was I mocked by my coworkers.   Hey, I'm busy, I don't want to come empty-handed, and I think they taste good.  And most of the people whose parties I'm going to know me well enough to know it's who I am.  My coworkers thought it meant that I was lazy.  I said it just means that I'm busy.  So simple question today.  Is it okay to bring Pillsbury Slice N Bake cookies to a party
