Today's social dilemma came about after I received a phone call from a woman on Monday. She was on her way home from work and it was only around 9:30. I asked what was going on. She told me that she had been sent home from work because it had been National No Bra Day, and just for fun, she decided not to wear a bra to work. Her male boss told her she had to go home and put one on. So she was driving home when she called me. She was really upset and didn't know what she should do. I asked her what kind of job she was in, and she said she worked in an office that had no contact with the general public, so the only people who saw her was her coworkers. Also, she said she looked good, and wasn't being brazen about it, but it was clear she didn't have a bra on. She was so upset about being sent home, she decided to take the day off and not go back in. So what do you think? Was the boss out of line for sending her home? I mean, it's not something I would do, but I can't imagine unless everything was hanging out that it was that big of a deal. She swore it was very tasteful. So, was the boss right to send her home or should she have been allowed to continue on with her day? I think he should have left her alone. He probably called more attention to it than would have been if he just didn't say anything. Plus I don't know if that's harrassment or not. What do you think?
