Funeral services have been announced for Aretha Franklin, and the public will get a chance to pay their respects to the Queen of Soul. An open viewing for the public will take place from 9am to 9pm on August 28th and 29th at Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Then, a service for just family and friends will take place August 31st at the Greater Grace Temple and then Aretha will be buried alongside her father Rev. C.L. Franklin, brother Cecil Franklin, sisters Carolyn and Erma Franklin and nephew Thomas Garrett at Detroit’s Woodlawn Cemetery.
