Paul Simon Said Farewell Over the Weekend!

Paul Simon is officially done with touring. The singer wrapped his “Homeward Bound” farewell tour at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Flushing, New York, this weekend, not far from where he grew up in Queens.  “It seems more like fate than coincidence that I should do the final show on this final tour at Flushing Meadows Corona Park,” he told the crowd. “I could have ridden my bike from home to the park in about 20 minutes, when I was a kid. But this is less a goodbye than a farewell. Thank you all for the ride, I had a great time.”  Simon treated the crowd to a 26-song set, opening the night with “America,” followed by such hits as "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," “The Boy in the Bubble,” “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “You Can Call Me Al,” “Late In The Evening,” "Homeward Bound,"  “Graceland,” “The Boxer” and “The Sound of Silence.”
