Well, we all know how bad the tribute to Aretha Franklin went down at the Grammy Awards with Madonna basically giving a speech about herself. To make sure something like that doesn't happen again, The American Music Awards are going to one of the best to give Aretha a tribute worthy of her legacy as the Queen of Soul. Gladys Knight will lead a performance at the 2018 American Music Awards on Oct. 9 to pay homage to Franklin, who died on Aug. 19 of cancer. She was 76. The awards show also announced Ledisi, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans and musical director Rickey Minor as part of the musical tribute. They said there will also be some surprises when the show airs. I'm looking forward to seeing Gladys pay tribute to the Queen. What about you?
