Social Dilemma-Do You Embrace Jury Duty or Do You Try To Get Out Of It?

Today's social dilemma came up because I got my notice this week that it's time for me to serve jury duty.  Unfortunately, I'm unable to serve jury duty because of a medical condition, but I'm really upset about that, and I always am because I still get called every two years.   I WANT to sit on jury duty.  After all, I did go to L&O U (Law & Order University), so being in the courtroom would be great.  I feel like I would be a great juror.   However, most of my friends say I'm lucky because I have a medical excuse to get out of it.  Some are constantly trying to get out of it.  They say it's a pain because it screws with the work at their regular job and only makes it harder to get back into work after the trial is over. However one of my friends who went said she liked the idea of listening with an open mind, and trying to find the truth.  She felt like she was doing her civic duty.  That's how I feel.   I say put me in coach, I would love to do it.  But unfortunately I can't.   So what about you?  Do you like being called for jury duty and go happily, or do you try to get out of it if you can like some of my buddies?  Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
