Have you been following the case of Luna, the dog in Troy who was sentenced to be euthanized?? Luna, by ALL accounts, is usually a very sweet dog. However, one day she saw a dog in her yard, and she went into what sounded like protection mode, and went after the dog. She did bite the dog and ultimately, the owner of that dog got a small bite as well. Thankfully, the injuries to the dog and owner were minor. However, according to Troy law, even with just one offense, Luna had to be put down. No one wants that to happen. Not the owners of Luna, who swear she's a sweet and loving dog (and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society backs that up), and not even the owner of the dog that was bitten. Everyone wants Luna to be able to continue to live her life with her loving family. However, based on how the law is in Troy, Luna was set to be euthanized. Thankfully the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society got involved and now Luna has had a "stay of execution" so to speak so that her owners can appeal the ruling. Luna is currently being kept at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and needs our help to care for her. They are asking for donation in Luna's name. If you would like to help, donate today at www.mohawkhumane.org. Thank you! Let's keep Luna alive and get her back with her family where she belongs.
