Sadly, we have two business closings to tell you about that are happening in the Capital Region. First up, the Friendly's in East Greenbush abruptly closed yesterday. As someone who lives in East Greenbush I was very sad to hear this, though not surprised. Having gone there for upwards of 12 years, the place has never been managed very well. The food has been good as has the ice cream, but the people that work there never seemed to put a lot of effort into their job. And that's the reason Friendly's management gave for the store closing. It's sad. We will miss it.
And then we found out that Gap in Colonie Center will be closing both of their stores. Gap and Gap Kids will remain open throughout the holiday season but unfortunately, will close in mid-January. It always saddens me when stores we love to shop at or restaurants we enjoy eating at come to an end in the area. But thankfully the Capital Region is booming with new businesses that continue to open all the time. So we'll miss you Gap and Friendly's but we look forward to new places to shop and eat!
