This breaks my heart a little bit. Lombardo's Restaurant on lower Madison Avenue in Albany is closing it's doors on New Year's Day after 99 years in business. I used to love to go to Lombardo's. It was such a wonderful treat. The Italian food there was to die for. It was heavenly. Unfortunately, in recent years, it didn't live up to it's years past reputation, but it is still a landmark and tradition in the city. But at the end of this year, Lombardos will close for good. It's hard to say goodbye to places like this that have been there all our lives. You can read more about why Lombardos is closing it's doors, but feel free to leave your stories about the restaurant at the TRY Facebook page.
