Social Dilemma-Do You Have to Share Holiday Scratch Off Winnings?

Interesting social dilemma today that came up because one of the gifts I gave over the holiday was scratch offs from the NY Lottery.   I love getting and giving Scratch offs.  Even if you don't win, it's fun to take the time to scratch off and have the hope and excitement that you'll win some money.   Well one of the people I gave tickets to won...BIG!  They picked up $500!!  I was so excited for them.  And they wanted to give me a $100 for giving them that Christmas gift.  I told them absolutely NOT.  If I bought them a sweater they wouldn't give me half of it back.   I did not want any of his winnings.   But other people I spoke to said they thought he definitely should have given some money to me.   So what do you think?  Should I have taken the $100 or did I do the right thing by refusing?  What would you have done in my situation?  Would you expect to get some money if you gave someone a winning ticket?  Let me know what you think on the 98-3 TRY Facebook page.
