Okay, today's social dilemma happened last night at karaoke at Martels before the karaoke/trivia challenge. I was there with a group of people eating before the fun began and I ordered French Onion Soup. Well, I was having trouble getting the last bit out of the bowl without my spoon clanking (I hate that) so I just drank the rest straight from the bowl and some of my friends were appalled. They told me it wasn't exactly good manners to do that. But isn't it worse to clank your spoon against the bowl? I really didn't think it was a big deal. I pay for the soup and I love it so I want every single drop. But I would say a good lot of the people disagreed with me last night. So, what do you think? Is it okay when you're in a restaurant to pick up the bowl to drink the last sip straight from the bowl? Or do you think that it's bad manners to do it? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
