Tom Hanks is iin the process of working out a deal to star in a new movie about Elvis Presley. The movie is being made by Baz Luhrmann, the man behind the latest Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman. The movie will be an Elvis biopic. There is currently no actor set to play the King of Rock and Roll, but we do know that production will begin on the film in the Fall so they'll have to find someone by then. No word on whether or not they're looking at major stars of trying to find an unknown for the job. But casting Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker is genius! Colonel Tom Parker (the Colonel was an honorary title so to speak) was the man who put Elvis on the path to superstardom and then controlled every aspect of his career throughout his entire life.
