A new Italian restaurant is coming to downtown Schenectady at the site of the former Aperitivo Bistro. The Aperitivo closed abruptly at the beginning of March. Now the chef-owner of Osteria Danny in Saratoga Springs and the chef-owner of Armondo's Villa Tuscan Grill in Rotterdam are teaming up to open a contemporary Italian restaurant called Grano. The menu will focus on homemade pasta, which sounds wonderful!! Grano will also serve grilled seafood, meat and vegetables. They hope to open by the end of May, but do understand that might be a little optimistic and it may not be until June that we will get to try out the new foods at Grano. Grano will be located at 426 State Street in Schenectady, right next to Proctors! I can't wait to give it a try! What about you? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page!
