Social Dilemma-Do You Get All Dolled Up for Your Driver's License Photo?

Today's social dilemma came from Don. He sent an email about his daughter's driver's license photo. This is what he wrote: Hi Jaime, I have a social dilemma. I think my daughter Bethany who lives with me, is taking things a little too seriously. I'm talking about her driver's license photo. Bethany just got her license even though she's 22. She never needed a license before now because we lived in New York City until she was 19. She tried going without one for a few years, but recently realized she had to finally give in. My daughter easily passed her driver's test, but when it came to her driver's license photo, I think she's going over the top. She says she's buying a new outfit for the picture, and she wants to have her makeup and hair done professionally. She said it's important to look good in your i.d. I think you should look like you look everyday. Nice, but not overly dressed up. Do men put on suits for their pictures? Do other women do this? It seems way over the top to me. I'm trying to tell her not to waste her money (which she doesn't have a lot of) on new clothes and new makeup and just be her beautiful regular self. She isn't going for it.
