Residents in Halfmoon are Warned of Mountain Lion Sightings in the Area

Apparently there have been some sightings in Halfmoon of what many believe to be a mountain lion. In fact, on the Town's facebook page, a warning was posted that everyone be on the lookout not only for themselves and their family but for their pets as well. Lion Mountain sightings are rare in NYS but they do happen. The hope is that the lion is just passing through to get to somewhere else. If you see what looks like a mountain lion, don't try to approach it, don't try to take it's picture, just slowly get to safety. The mountain lion has been seen in the Coons Crossings section of Halfmoon, and big paw prints have been seen there.
