Local Weather Forecaster Bob Gordon Passed Away Over the Weekend

If you grew up in the Capital Region, and watched local TV news anytime between 1964 to 1986, then you know the name Bob Gordon. Bob was a weather forecaster, the era before meteorologists were hired to do that job. Bob was on WTEN from 1964 to 1977, and then on WRGB from 1977 to 1986. Bob always had a smile and that great deep voice. He was certainly a friendly face on TV in the era when we only had three networks to watch. Of course by the time Bob left the business, TV had changed alot with meteorologists being hired and cable TV coming in taking viewers away from local news. Still Bob Gordon was one of those guys that we'll remember for a long time. Granted I watched him most towards the end of his career, but I'll never forget him. Rest in Peace Bob, and thanks for the weather forecasts all those years!
