Saratoga County Fair: July 23-28; fairgrounds, 162 Prospect St., Ballston Spa; 9 a.m. to midnight daily
Schoharie County Sunshine Fair: Aug. 6-11; fairgrounds, 113 Sunshine Drive, Cobleskill; 9 a.m. to midnight daily
Altamont Fair: Aug. 13-18; fairgrounds, 129 Grand St., Altamont; gates open at 10 a.m. daily
Washington County Fair: Aug. 19-25; fairgrounds, 392 Old Schuylerville Road, Greenwich; gates open at 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday
Columbia County Fair: Aug. 28-Sept. 2; 142 Hudson Ave., Chatham; 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday-Monday
Schaghticoke Fair: Aug. 28-Sept. 2; fairgrounds, 69 Stillwater Bridge Road, routes 67 and 40, Schaghticoke; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
Fonda Fair: Aug. 28-Sept. 2; fairgrounds, 21 S. Bridge St., Fonda. Opens 8 a.m. daily.
