Don't you just love it when Hollywood comes knocking on our door. There's a new TV show on HBO called Succession and it's really good. It's about a family that owns an entertainment and media conglomerate, and the drama that ensues when the father, who's been running the company decides to pull back from that. Well, the cast will be filming in the Albany area on July 1st and 2nd, and they're looking for extras during that period. This isn't the first time they filmed in the area. Last year they took over Six Flags Great Escape, and if you watched the first season of the show, you saw it featured prominently in one of the episodes. Now they're looking for politician and media types. Grant Wilfley Casting, a New York City talent agency, is seeking Albany locals to play extras on July 1 and 2 for the show's second season. The casting company is seeking men and women, ages 18 and older, to play "politicians, journalists, news types, etc." The show's crews have not yet finalized filming locations, Albany Film Commissioner Deborah Goedeke said Tuesday. So who knows, maybe you'll show up in the second season of Succession on HBO. One way or another though, all this business is GREAT for the Capital Region and it's always fun to see the area featured on a TV show or in a movie!
