Riverdale will be honoring the late Luke Perry with a special tribut episode at the beginning of the show's next season. It was announced over the weekend that Luke's friend and former 90210 co-star Shannon Doherty will be guest starring on that episode. The episode, titled “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam,” will “reflect Luke Perry’s enduring legacy and the indelible imprint his character, Fred Andrews, had on Riverdale,” according to the official logline. Details regarding Doherty’s “special role” are being kept under wraps. At the Comic-Con panel, cast member Cole Sprouse (Jughead) shared that “it was cathartic for all of us” to have Doherty on set for the season premiere. “I think it really put the cherry on top for that episode and made a nice tribute.” I don't watch the show Riverdale, but I do think I'll be tuning in for this special tribute episode. I was a fan of Luke's back in the day when we all grew up watching him on 90210. I look forward to seeing how they'll handle the tribute. What about you? Will you tune in? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
