While it really doesn’t look like Woodstock 50 is going to happen, I know the best way to honor the 50th anniversary of the big concert event. We will be able to celebrate the original festival’s anniversary in the movie theaters. The film that originally captured the experience of the 1969 festival is set to hit theaters on August 15th. "Woodstock: The Director's Cut" features three hours and 44 minutes of concert highlights including 30 musical performances, from artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Janis Joplin, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Jefferson Airplane; and Joan Baez. This is the best concert documentary ever, and seeing it on the big screen will be fantastic! And the best way to honor the 50th anniversary of the real event!! You'll want to get your tickets soon because there will only be one showing on August 15th at 7pm at Crossgates in Albany. Tickets are on sale now.
