As I told you yesterday, my mom celebrated her 89th birthday over the weekend! Yesterday we had a wonderful celebration for her with friends and family! The thing about my mom is that she never expects any kind of big recognition for her birthday. She gets embarrassed being the center of attention so she has always kept her head down when it came to her birthday. But as you know, I'm a BIG believer in celebrating birthdays! So I got together with some friends and planned a little surprise for mom! I think you can tell from her face that my plan worked. She had a wonderful time at dinner and then went to Bingo. What more could you ask for on your birthday! And in November, we're taking her down to Long Island to see her favorite, Engelbert Humperdinck! And she loved hearing all of your birthday messages. She couldn't believe it. She doesn't quite understand social media, but she does feel kindness when it's shown to her, and you did show her wonderful kindness. So from the bottom of both of our hearts, thank you!!
