We got the sad news last night that the lead singer of The Cars, Ric Ocasek had passed away at the age of 75 (though some records state his age at 70). As of right now, it looks like Ric passed of natural causes. He was found by his estranged wife, Paulina Porizkova. Such sad news. You can read more about his passing here. But when I was thinking of The Cars this morning, it was their videos that kept popping into my mind. Back in the heyday of MTV, The Cars were everywhere. Their video, You Might Think won video of the year. Their video for Magic showed Ric walking on water. We watched them all as we sat in front of the TV watching this new phenom called MTV.
