Looks like we might be getting a new store here in the Capital Region! REI, a recreational and outdoors store is looking into moving into the old Sears in Colonie Center. And as of right now, it looks like it's going to happen. REI is currently cleaning out asbestos from the old store and is in the process of getting through all the permits and licenses needed to go. REI is a chain store that has over 150 stores across the country. The ones closest to the area though are in Hartford, CT, Framingham, Mass, and Yonkers.
