Today's social dilemma came from a conversation that happened here at work the other day. From time to time,a bunch of us will end up in the break room at the same time eating lunch. It doesn't happen all that often for me just because of my hours, but I love it when it does. Anyway, someone came in with a burger they had bought and sat down to eat and realized it didn't have any ketchup on it. So I said there's some ketchup in the cupboard. And my coworker said no thanks, that ketchup had been in the cupboard for about two weeks. And I didn't think that was a big deal. I said I leave my ketchup in the pantry for up to three weeks. I didn't think it had to be refrigerated. Afterall, when you get the packets at a fast food place, they're not refrigerated. My buddy said it was different in the jar. And again I reminded him that jars on restaurant tables are not refrigerated. He still wouldn't use it. I keep my ketchup for about a month in the pantry. I always buy small bottles and by then it's usually gone. But everyone in the breakroom said they refrigerated theirs. So what about you? Where do you keep your ketchup after you open it? And for that matter. Where do you keep you Peanut Butter. I do refrigerate that because I like it cold. They thought that was weird too. Let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
