Today's social dilemma came about because of an article that was in the Wall Street Journal the other day. It happened to come out the exact day that I decorated my house for Halloween. Let me explain. I love decorating for holidays. I think it's fun. Now keep in mind my decorations are limited. I have ghosts hanging from my lamppost and two of the trees on my front lawn. I also strung up some purple and orange lights on the porch. I have a plastic gravestone on the lawn. And I have a couple of pumpkins by the front door. Anyway, I decorated the house and then someone sent me this article that asked the question "Is it creepy to decorate your house for Halloween if your kids are grown or if you have no kids at all? I had just put everything up and now I had to rethink my decorations. I guess the thought is, why are adults with no kids in the house decorating for Halloween. But why can't we? Are we not supposed to have fun when we grow up? Plus we get over 200 kids in our neighborhood on Halloween. I like them to see some fun stuff when they come up to the house. Of course now I'm rethinking everything. So I thought I would ask you? Do you think it's creepy to decorate for Halloween if you don't have kids? Do you decorate? Help me out here please.
