Social Dilemma-Would You Keep The Money if You Found $900 At A Rest Stop?

Today's social dilemma happened to my brother-in-law yesterday. And I'm curious how you would have handled it because I think I would have handled it differently than he did. My brother in law was coming back from visiting a friend, driving on the NYS Thruway. He made a quick stop at a rest area for obvious reasons and on his way out, he saw a napkin that looked like it had some money in it. When he picked it up, he realized it had a LOT of money it in. When all was counted, it was $900. There was no name on the napkin, obviously. no way to find out who it belonged to because the only people working at the rest area were the people at the little store and the folks working at the McDonalds in the rest area. So my brother in law picked up the cash, promptly put it in his pocket and came home $900 richer. I asked him if he felt guilty about it and he said not at all. I think it would have left my name with the people working at the stores just in case someone came back in looking for it. I would have made them describe it to me (you know, was it in all $20's or $100 bills) and gone from there. He said he felt no need to do that at all. So what would you have done in this situation? $900 is a LOT of money?? The guilt would have killed me if I didn't at least try to find the owner. What about you?
