Social Dilemma-Would You Eat Baked Goods From An Acquaintance at Work?

Today's social dilemma came from, well, we'll call her Mary because she didn't want me to use her name, and I understand why. It has to do with eating baked goods from people you don't know all that well. This is the email. Hey Jaime. I have a social dilemma. I don’t want to use my name or where I work. The dilemma is where I work we have people that leave me and my coworker baked goods. We don’t know these people outside of the workplace. Is this something that you would be comfortable with accepting? Would you eat it? I don’t want to make them feel bad, so I accept what they give me, but I also don’t feel comfortable eating the baked goods so they end up in the garbage. Help me!!!! Do you think it's okay to eat them? Or should I ask them to stop making them? Am I wrong on how I feel? Can't wait to hear what you and others think.... p.s I love your show Thanks ~ Mary. I've been in similar situations to Marys. I'm lucky enough that from time to time people bring me some home made baked goods. Some of my friends do it, like my buddy Jill who makes me amazing cakes. And some others do it who I don't know all that well. I generally accept them, and eat them. I think that people are incredibly kind and if they go through the trouble of making something, I trust that it's from the heart. I will share some of the stuff I get with my coworkers as well, but I always accept the baked goods and don't worry much beyond that. But that's just me. What would you do if you were in Mary's position. Would you accept the homemade goods? Would you trust them and eat them? Or would you do what she does? Accept them so as to not hurt anyone's feelings but then not eat them? Let's help Mary out. Let me know on the TRY Facebook page
