This is so cool. Just the other night I was watching the movie, A League of Their Own, on TV. And now we find out that Amazon is developing a TV series based on the movie! I love this idea. D'Arcy Carden who currently plays Janet on A Good Place, is in talks to star in the show alongside Abbi Jacobson from Broad City. Amazon is describing the show as "infusing the warmth, humor, and DNA of the classic film while taking a contemporary spin on the stories of the women surrounding the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League,” Apparently the pilot will begin with how the league came about in 1943 and go from there, following the Rockford Peaches from season to season.
