Social Dilemma-Would You Pass On Buying A New Car Because of the Color?

Today's social dilemma came from Peter, and I think this is interesting because we all have our favorite colors and usually they mean something to us. Here's Peter's email: Hi Jaime, my wife Penny and I love listening to your dilemma of the day on our way to work. The reason we're riding together to work is because my wife's car died about two weeks ago, and now we're in the market for a new one. Well, we found a great used car, low mileage, well taken care-of and in good shape. However, my wife doesn't like the color. She says she knows we can find a car that's in equally good shape but in a color that she likes. Penny, my wife, says there is something unlucky about driving around in a car that is not a color that you like. I told her it's a great deal and color doesn't matter. Down the road if it's that important we can have it painted, but nope, she won't go for it. So help us out Jaime. Is this ridiculous or have other people passed on buying a car because of the color? We can't wait to hear. Thanks ~ Peter. Well, first off, you know I have to tell Peter and his wife to go to Lia Hyundai, they'll find the perfect car there. But with the color thing. I get it. If you check back over the years to all the cars I've owned, all but two have been blue. Blue is my favorite color and that's what I want to drive. However, when I bought my Tuscon and needed it right away, I could have waited for them to get me a blue one from somewhere else, but I bought the silver one that was on the lot at Lia Hyundai and it's no different than driving around in a blue one. So I wouldn't pass on a great deal just because of color. What about you? Are you with Peter or his wife Penny? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page
